While there are many technology options, the key component to any approach implemented today is the support of commercially available user devices. When the network infrastructure supports the commoditized technology at the user level, unique approaches can be taken in the infrastructure build-out to optimise the network.
SiRRAN Global Roaming SIM
The SiRRAN SIM offers the ability to seamlessly roam between a Customers own GSMnet infrastructure and that of traditional Mobile Network Operators, this ensures that when GSMnet access is available this is set as the first choice (priority) for the SIM and the user can leverage the increased security and cost benefits of a Customer controlled network. With access to over 730 Roaming Partners SiRRAN ensures its Customers have the ability to make and receive calls whilst travelling in countries around the globe when a local GSMnet service is not present, thus providing a consistent user experience without the need to change SIM’s or load applications onto a handset. Mobile SIM Options
SiRRAN provide a range of standard SIM options which enhance the user experience, control costs and provide important additional levels of security. Our unique SIM toolkit enables our Customers to control the level of access dependant on the role of the user;
- Increased security features which protect mobile users from interception
- Allowed/Declined dialling list
- Call back options to reduce call costs whilst roaming
- Local security to protect handset data
SiRRAN also offers customisation in line with the unique nature of our individual Customers requirements
Number Range
SiRRAN are able to provide dual IMSI SIMs enabling the provision of US (001) and UK (0044) numbers simultaneously. This ensures the most cost effective solution is always deployed leveraging local agreements and switching options through our network Partners or our Customers own network infrastructure
Other Operators SIM - In Roaming
As determined by the individual handset registration policy of the Customer non SiRRAN SIMs can be registered to both an individual GSMnet and also the SiRRAN core. This means that if enabled handsets will be able to register and make outgoing and receive incoming calls and text messages on their mobile number. This provides a truly seamless User experience whilst builds in the controls to ensure that only authorised handsets are registered.
SiRRAN Core network
To enable multiple GSMnet systems to interwork the SiRRAN core network provides a cohesive switching matrix to maximise the benefit of a Customer owned network. The core is built around a presence engine that stores information on all GSMnets in a Customers network and also every handset that is registered to each GSMnet node this ensures that when calls are placed handset to handset on-net the most secure and cost effective path is established for voice, text and data calls. As our Customers requirements vary SiRRAN are able to build stand-alone/on premise solutions that ring-fence a SiRRAN Core behind the Customers own firewall and only access network information from our Roaming Partners when required.
SiRRAN Data Centre
Built in 2005, and representing an investment to date in excess of €18 million, the Data Centre in which the SiRRAN Core Network is housed provides a highly secure environment with access to major mobile and fixed line operators around the globe. The Data Centre offers world-class levels of data security, super fast and highly resilient connectivity, fully outsourced managed platforms where our Customers wish to have their services ring-fenced, plus expandable hosting and network capacity. Manned by qualified technicians 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the Data Centre and its associated high capacity networks were initially designed to deliver 99.999% “uptime” customers. The Data Centre has, in fact, achieved 100% availability of service since it opened in 2005.
